Schluter-KERDI-DRAIN is a shower drain specifically designed to allow connection to KERDI or other bonded, load-bearing waterproofing membranes. The membrane is bonded to the large integral bonding flange to form a waterproof connection on top of the drain assembly. KERDI-DRAIN is composed of a drain body and a fully adjustable grid or cover support to which the tiles are applied. The grid accommodates a wide range of tile thicknesses and allows for lateral and tilt adjustment. The covering support is placed at the same level as the top of the gluing flange and can therefore accommodate tiles of any thickness.
The standard KERDI-DRAIN is attached directly to the waste line. The drain body is available in ABS, PVC or stainless steel. The plastic drain bodies have a bonding flange covered with fleece. They are available with standard 2" (50mm) and 3" (75mm) outlets and attach to the pipe using a suitable solvent cement. Stainless steel drain bodies are available with standard 2" (50 mm) or 3" (75 mm) hubless outlets or with a 2" (50 mm) threaded outlet. Hubless outlets are attached to the pipe using a suitable mechanical fitting (e.g. flexible or hubless). Threaded outlets are attached to the pipe using thread sealant or tape. Simple connection to Standard drainage outlets make KERDI-DRAIN suitable for new construction and renovations.
The KERDI-DRAIN grid consists of a frame, which can be easily adjusted to the thickness and layout of the ceramic tile or stone covering thanks to the height adjustment collar and the side adjustment ring, and grids or cleaning covers which are placed inside the frame. The standard 100mm grille frame has a gap of approximately 3mm wide after installation. Grille/frame combinations are available in stainless steel in the CLASSIC model or anodized aluminum in the CONTOUR model, both available in a wide variety of finishes. The 4" (100 mm) KERDI-DRAIN-STYLE grate assembly frame has minimal play after installation. It is made of brushed stainless steel and can be combined with one of three grate options: FLORAL (E), CURVE (F), or PURE (G). Different metallic and colored finishes are available. The 100 mm (4") TILE grate is a square stainless steel plate with KERDI laminated to the surface to allow bonding of ceramic or stone tiles, creating a virtually invisible drainage line. The assembly frames for the 6" (150mm) square and round stainless steel grates have a clearance of approximately 3/16" (5mm) wide after installation and can be combined with CLASSIC designed stainless steel grates or a square cleaning cover. Please note that 6" (150 mm) racks and racks used with 5 -1/4" (133.4 mm) adapter kits only allow vertical and tilt adjustment (no lateral adjustment).
