Description

Schluter-KERDI is a foldable, sheet-applied and bonded waterproof membrane and vapor barrier with limited crack-bridging capabilities. KERDI includes a modified polyethylene (PEVA) core with non-woven polypropylene on both sides to anchor the membrane in the mortar. KERDI was developed as a waterproofing membrane for use in conjunction with ceramic tile and stone coatings. Tiles can be installed directly onto KERDI using the thin-set method. Other trowel-applied coating materials, such as plaster, may also be used. KERDI was evaluated according to the "Standard Method for the Testing and Evaluation of Volatile Organic Chemical Emissions from Indoor Sources Using Environmental Chambers, Version 1.1" for California Specification 01350 and found to comply with VOC requirements. California Specification 01350 is referenced by several green building standards and rating systems.
