Schluter-RONDEC is a finishing and protection profile for the exterior corners of tiled surfaces. It includes a perforated, trapezoid-shaped anchor fin that is set into the mortar layer beneath the tile, and a profile that forms a symmetrically rounded outer corner with a 1/4" (6 mm) radius along the edge of the surface.
The profile is available in stainless steel, solid brass, chrome-plated solid brass, anodized aluminum, colored aluminum, textured colored aluminum and PVC. RONDEC's wide range of materials, colors and surface finishes makes it possible to coordinate colors with tiles and grouts and create interesting accents in decorative designs. In addition to its decorative effect, the profile protects the edges of the tiles against damage caused by mechanical stress.
RONDEC, made of stainless steel, is particularly wear-resistant when used as edge protection. It can also be used as a stair nosing or transition profile.
Furthermore, RONDEC is suitable for transitions, corners or other coverings with other covering materials, for example carpet, parquet, natural stone tiles or cold-cured resin coverings. The integrated joint spacer forms a defined joint cavity with the tile.
Note: Stainless steel and solid brass RONDECs do not have the built-in joint spacer. Matching interior and exterior angles, including sink angles, and connectors are available. Matching bits are available for stainless steel RONDECs.
